Overview

CD-Z358 is a speed gate family for controlled lobbies where throughput matters. The wing-style barriers open quickly after a valid credential and close behind each person, with infrared sensors monitoring the lane. A standard two-unit lane is 650 mm wide and can be widened to 950 mm for luggage or accessibility requirements.

The housing is made from 304 stainless steel with a 1.5 mm wall, and the mechanism is designed for 8 million operating cycles. The controller supports TCP/IP or RS485 communication and provides standard electrical interfaces for face terminals, card readers, QR scanners and building platforms. Anti-tailgating alarms, triple anti-pinch protection and fire-alarm release are part of the standard configuration.

Use it at office building lobbies, campus gates, hospital entrances, factory visitor lanes and transit staff gates. For a compact footprint, compare the CD-KX205X; for wider accessibility lanes or luggage, compare the CD-Z158 swing barrier. Lane layout and barrier direction should be confirmed against the floor plan.

Selection & installation

Align the configuration and installation conditions.

Selection table — match the mechanism to the people flow

Lane requirementRecommended mechanism
Compact lobby Compact speed gate such as CD-KX205X, 600 mm footprint
High-volume office Speed gate, 650–950 mm lane, 40 persons/min
Luggage or accessibility Swing barrier with a 900–950 mm lane
Factory or construction site Tripod turnstile, 550 mm lane, one person per rotation
Covered outdoor entrance Canopy plus an IP-rated lane; confirm drainage

Installation table — lane layout and safety

ItemTypical setting
Lane layout Approach and queue space; barrier clearance on both sides
Foundation Level floor, anchors and cable conduits
Power AC 110–220 V per lane on a separate circuit
Fire release Dry contact or relay from the fire system
Access control Relay/Wiegand from the terminal or controller
Service Access panels and a manual release key
Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How wide is one lane?

A standard lane formed by two units is 650 mm. It can be widened to 950 mm for luggage, wheelchairs or stretchers; confirm the requirement before ordering.

Does it open when the fire alarm triggers?

Yes, the controller supports fire-alarm release so the barriers open for evacuation. Confirm the fire signal interface and fail-safe behaviour with the project electrician.

Can it be integrated with our face terminals?

Yes, it accepts standard relay or Wiegand signals from face terminals and card readers. Provide the terminal output type and the lane controller wiring diagram.

Can it be used outdoors?

The standard configuration is for indoor use. For outdoor installations, specify a weather canopy and confirm the IP requirements with us.

What happens on a power failure?

The barrier can be configured to open on power failure for safe egress. Confirm the required fail-safe mode and backup power plan during project design.
