Turnstiles Tripod turnstile series
CD-Z158 Tripod Turnstile
One person per 120° rotation — a physical barrier for factories, sites and stadiums.
A 304 stainless steel tripod turnstile for staff gates and controlled pedestrian lanes. The rotating arms allow one person per 120°, resist forced passage and drop automatically on power failure.

CD-Z158 is a tripod turnstile for sites that need a simple, durable physical barrier. Each 120° rotation admits one person, and the arms lock under external force so the lane cannot be pushed open. The mechanism is rated for 8 million cycles and uses a brushless motor with a clutch.
The housing is 304 stainless steel with a 1.5 mm wall. A standard lane is 550 mm, and the arm length is 500 mm. Passage rate is about 30 people per minute. On power failure the arms drop automatically, and the controller supports TCP/IP or RS485 communication for integration with face terminals, card readers and building platforms.
Tripod turnstiles are common at factory gates, construction sites, stadiums and staff entrances. They are not the best choice for wheelchair users or luggage; provide a separate accessible lane where the site requires it. For a wider lane or a more open lobby, compare the CD-Z358 speed gate or CD-KX205X compact speed gate.

Typical applications
These are the typical deployment scenarios for this model. Lane count, mounting height and interfaces are confirmed against the site plan.
Campuses
One student credential across gates, dormitories, libraries and classrooms.
Industrial Parks
Separate staff, contractors and vehicles without slowing the shift change.
Construction Sites
Face and QR access, attendance records and a gate that works in dust and sun.

Selection table — match the mechanism to the people flow
| Lane requirement | Recommended mechanism |
|---|---|
| Compact lobby | Compact speed gate such as CD-KX205X, 600 mm footprint |
| High-volume office | Speed gate, 650–950 mm lane, 40 persons/min |
| Luggage or accessibility | Swing barrier with a 900–950 mm lane |
| Factory or construction site | Tripod turnstile, 550 mm lane, one person per rotation |
| Covered outdoor entrance | Canopy plus an IP-rated lane; confirm drainage |
Installation table — lane layout and safety
| Item | Typical setting |
|---|---|
| Lane layout | Approach and queue space; barrier clearance on both sides |
| Foundation | Level floor, anchors and cable conduits |
| Power | AC 110–220 V per lane on a separate circuit |
| Fire release | Dry contact or relay from the fire system |
| Access control | Relay/Wiegand from the terminal or controller |
| Service | Access panels and a manual release key |
